quote from Daily Bread

Our responsibility is to let the Lord and His Word convict us about our own hearts.

If you want to teach, you should teach part time. Teaching as a profession would be a waste of your potential.

“Lord, you give and take away. Blessed be Your name.”

I cannot say, I have nothing left, though the two or one wants I did hold in my heart…
Have shattered, have scattered and are strewn on paths dark to me.
Tempted, I am to try to find the fragments, but this “heart will choose to stay.”

I knew, and understood. I knew I would lose it all, like clenching the air. Time laughs.
‘Tis ironic, that though we choose our ways, we still in moments of euphoria, against reason and integrity, prove insanity, motion up streams that have long been gone.

I am either fool or ingrate, my spirit still longs.
But to Your credit I will forever proclaim:
Blessed be Your name. You give and take away. My heart will choose to stay.

spirit

I don't always have something to say.

From [Word Of God Speak lyrics on http://www.metrolyrics.com]:

Kutless Word Of God Speak Lyrics

I'm finding myself at a loss for words
And the funny thing is it's okay
The last thing I need is to be heard
But to hear what You would say

[Chorus:]
Word of God speak
Would You pour down like rain
Washing my eyes to see
Your majesty
To be still and know
That You're in this place
Please let me stay and rest

In Your holiness
Word of God speak

I'm finding myself in the midst of You
Beyond the music, beyond the noise
All that I need is to be with You
And in the quiet hear Your voice

[Chorus 2x]

I'm finding myself at a loss for words
And the funny thing is it's okay

This is enough for me for now Lord. Someday I know you'll send me out.

shortcoming a blow to pride

Lord, i know i've got a long way to go;
so help me to keep on going.

Dedicated to God

You waited at the door...

despite my convictions to be independent,
despite my obsession with rationality,
despite my commitment to unsentimentality,
as i was too dependent on man,
too rash in my feeling driven motions,
and did not cherish the preciousness of emotions.

despite my tangency,
you waited at the door.

interview with jack tramiel

When I was in high school, it seemed like there was almost a culture war between users of the Commodore 64, the Apple IIe, and the Atari 800. What do you think was different about the machines and the people who used them?
Tramiel: The only difference was the price. Because it seems that in this country, if you sell something cheaper, it can't be as good. If it's more expensive, and it's the same product, it must be a better product. That didn't stop me. I still wanted to sell it for a low price. But if a person pays three times as much for a computer, he has to be proud of it, because he paid for it. He can't call himself stupid.
