walk before Him

may i not look for consolation and act rashly.
guard my heart oh Lord,
dry the tears confined to my soul, i will keep them there.
may i love selflessly.
may i pray for heart desires, mine and others' in manner of empathy.
may i hurt because of hurts of others and let my pain die.
may i develop patience and harbor peace from You.
grow me Lord, because i am insufficient the way i am.

to God and to the woman i try to love

sometimes i wonder why i place my hopes in another human when logic tells me obviously my faith would be better spent on God. i think it is humanity... being just another sucker like adam, that despite God, and any companion on earth; i'd long for her.

remind me Lord to love a woman, but not to idolize her. to know that there is possibility my hopes will come crashing down on me because of where i put them, but to live day by day not worrying about the day after so that i may find peace and live life well.

you are precious to me, i do not want to be a burden to you. i hope w/o a promise from you, and am willing to know pain or joy as the fruit of my decision.
